Measurement Canada Approves TSTM VT Pack
Measurement Canada recently approved the TSTM 3:1 VT Pack for use in Canada. This VT Pack can be used for 600/347 4-wire wye applications where traditional 3:1 voltage transformers are used. The VT Pack is compatible with AMI/AMR systems, is quicker and easier to install than traditional voltage transformers, and carries a full 10 year warranty. Custom color wire harnesses are available to match your utilities wire code. Canadian Utilities can contact TSTM for pricing, availability and to gather further information. Contact TSTM

Single Point Grounding
Single point grounding on the metering voltage circuits is essential for the reliable operation of the VT Pack™ when the service is subjected to destructive transients. What this means is that there should be one and only one ground on the common (white on the standard harness). For 4-wire grounded wye, 4-wire delta and 3-wire corner grounded delta applications, we recommend that this single ground be made on the primary common*, which usually is the same as the grounded neutral. The common wire that usually goes to the meter should NOT be grounded in the socket in addition to the ground on the primary neutral.
The use of multiple grounds on the VT Pack wiring circuit will automatically void the warranty! The Limited Warranty terms and conditions ca be viewed and printed by going to www.ts-tm.com and clicking on the Limited Warranty link on the home page.
*The exception would be for 3-wire ungrounded delta which cannot have a ground on the primary or the secondary.
